Destiny Bounty Hunter

Product Overview:
Destiny Bounty Hunter is a task management application for players of the video game Destiny 2. The bounty system in the game is convoluted and tying to follow the flow of tasks using the in-game interface has become a chore that distracts from gameplay. This application helps players track goals, complete tasks and get back to actually playing the game.
Objective:
Create a solution for all levels of player that takes the chore out of the bounty system.
Challenge:
Making an application that doesn’t add to the complexity of the existing system, while catering to a range of skill levels.
Process:
I started the UX process with guerrilla research to understand the user base and define product needs. I asked a sample of volunteers on the DestinyTheGame subreddit about their experiences, likes and frustrations with the newly introduced bounty system. From there, I created some personas that typify three potential user bases for the application. Information architecture followed, mapping out the general application.
